The Wonderful Sandy Beach



Capitola Beach is the center piece of California's oldest seaside resort town. A
soft sand beach bordered by lively seaside cafes' and restaurants. The
beach is enclosed between two bluffs, on one side is the older ocean
side village section and reminds visitors of resort towns along
the Mediterranean Coast. Capitola Beach is bordered also
along the famous Esplanade, lined with shops, art
galleries and entertainment venues. It is
a people watchers paradise, and
a bustling community during
summer months, and is
a sleepy village
in winter.
Although it is
a favorite retreat for
city dwellers it still remains
a locals hot spot. You can stroll along
the bluff top to the famous surfing spot called
'The Hook" about 1/2 mile away, or if the tide is out
you can walk along the beach to get there. Seals, Sea lions
& Sea Otters play just off shore. April thru June great beach weather.
Cool foggy summer mornings and warm clear afternoons July and August. Warm fall
and early winter with beautiful beach weather. Then cool and rainy Jan, Feb and March.

All four luxury apartment suites are 1 bedroom, 1 bath (shower) units with a comfortable
living/dining/kitchen combo and an open air deck or porch. Professionally decorated,
completely equipped & meticulously maintained. Top of line modern appliances and
security systems; quality linens and furnishings. Two lower units have a
small porch that can inner-connect with the other unit when opened,
making it perfect for singles, or couples wanting to share
time together but also want privacy. The upper level
units have sunny decks with BBQ and dining
table. All are non-smoking furnished
rentals, each with a unique
decor and character.

for allowing us to experience the best of Capitola. We had a great time there and
honestly fell in love with both the friendliness and the laid-back vibe of
the town. The Suites were definitely as expected, albeit even closer
to the ocean than I anticipated. Very clean, cozy, and well
appointed. Unfortunately the swells were too large
for us to try surfing, but that gives us
even more reason to come back. "

This unique, quaint beach town with a population of 10,000 is truly one of the most vibrant beach communities
in America. It is Located in Santa Cruz County which is considered to be among the most beautiful
regions of California. With its lively surfing culture, great restaurants,
outdoor cafes, shops, markets, galleries, live entertainment,
Wharf & famous Capitola Beach there is much to do.
Plus it is just 5 miles South of what is
known as the "happening town"
of Santa Cruz. A place
with even more
to do and see, but most
definitely not as lay back as Capitola.
The Village is centrally located and a good home base for
experiencing the many attractions in the region (a scenic 70 mile drive North
to San Francisco; aprox 40 miles South of Monterey & Carmel (where the really "upscale" ritzy life
can be seen); and 26 miles NE of San Jose and the International airline hub. This region has the warmest beaches
on the Northern and Central Coast. Capitola Village is a favorite of international travelers because they can avoid the hassles
of driving an automobile here (The town is highly rated on walkingscore.com). A pair of tennis shoes is all you need to get around the village.
